Olympiad Update

As a reminder, your child came home with an Olympiad packet containing 20 raffle tickets to sell for the Olympiad Fundraiser last week. Over the next 2 weeks please encourage and assist your child in selling raffle tickets for the drawing to be held on Friday, May 26.

This year, we have added more raffle prizes and more prizes for the top-selling students. When selling tickets, please give one copy of the ticket to the buyer and put their payment and the ticket with their Name and Phone number printed legibly into the envelope we have provided.

To participate in this year’s LandShark trip after school on Monday, June 5th students must sell 40 tickets. More tickets are available from the front office. All money, raffle tickets and envelopes must be turned into your child’s teacher by 8:30am on Friday, May 26. All checks payable to Adams PTA.

Thank you for the support!

Nick Rail Band Camp

The Santa Barbara Education Foundation is sponsoring a Nick Rail Summer Band Camp.  This is a great camp with professional instructors that keeps children engaged in music through the summer, for only $95! All levels are welcome, ages 9-13. I have attached a flier explaining all the details. Limited scholarships are available.

Lost and Found

We have a large assortment of Lost and Found items inside the auditorium. Please stop by and pick up your child’s missing items. We will be making a donation to Good Will at the end of the school year. Thank you.

No School

As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, May 29th as we observe Memorial Day!

SBAC Testing Continues

All of our 3-6th grade students began the Smarter Balanced Assessment on Monday, May 15th at 8:30am. The students will finish their final Math assessment on Friday before beginning the English Language Arts test on Monday, May 22nd. Again, please make sure your child comes to school with his/her iPad fully charged, eats a protein rich breakfast and comes to school well rested. I am looking forward to getting our students results as they have been working extremely hard this year in all areas!

Thank you for your support!
