TIME TO RETURN OUR ADAMS LIBRARY BOOKS!
Please take a moment to help your child search for their library books. Books love to hide in the most unexpected places—check: Under the bed, in the car, on bookshelves at home and in backpacks or desks. Thank you for helping us keep our library full of great books for all students!
NO STUFFIES AT SCHOOL
At this time we are asking students not to bring their stuffed animals to school. They have become distracting and some have been misplaced and/or stolen. Just like toys, students should not bring things to school that are not directly tied to learning, and with teacher permission.

CALM CORNER
Summer can be a valuable time to support your child’s mental and emotional well-being. With fewer school-related pressures, children often have more space to relax, explore their interests, and connect with family. However, changes in routine can sometimes bring up feelings of boredom, anxiety, or dysregulation. Establishing gentle structure - like regular sleep, meals, and screen-free activities - can help create a sense of stability. Encouraging open conversations about emotions, offering opportunities for creativity and play, and modeling calm and coping skills can all make a big difference.
Summer activities for the whole family that can support a child's mental and emotional health :
-
Family Walks or Nature Outings – Encourages movement, connection with nature, and opportunities for open conversation.
-
Art and Craft Projects – Supports emotional expression, creativity, and mindfulness.
-
Family Game Nights – Builds connection, teaches turn-taking and coping with winning/losing, and reduces screen time.
-
Cooking or Baking Together – Promotes cooperation, builds confidence, and creates positive shared experiences.
-
Gratitude or Affirmation Jar – Encourages reflection, positive thinking, and emotional expression.
-
Storytime or Shared Reading – Fosters imagination, emotional bonding, and regulation through calm routines
