All students are invited to wear an appropriate Halloween costume to school on our minimum day, which is Friday, October 28th.
As a reminder NO Play Guns or Knives are allowed on campus, even as part of a Halloween Costume. We also don’t allow students to wear scary/bloody/clown costumes or masks as these really scare our younger students. If your child is in need of a costume, please contact the front office and we will provide a donated costume to every child in need. Thank you for your support, as it is our goal to make this a joyful day for every student.
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for Sale
Our 5-6th grade students are selling a box of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for $12 (1 dozen) to fundraise for their Science Camps. Our front office is also placing orders until October 24th. The doughnuts will be available for pick-up on October 28th after 9am.
The GREAT Apple Crunch
We will be celebrating National Food Day on Monday, October 24th at 8:30am by holding an all school “Great Apple Crunch”. Much gratitude is given to Jennifer Hale for coordinating the event and the SBUSD Food services department for donating the apples.
Re-Take Picture Day
Life Touch will be coming to Adams on Thursday, October 27th for picture re-takes. If you would like a re-take of your child’s school photo, please be sure to bring the photo package you would like to replace with your child on October 27th.
Everyone is invited to come to school dressed in costume on Friday, October 28th. We will be holding our Kindergarten and 1st Grade Costume Parade on the Playground around 8:45am. Please no scary costumes with fake blood. Students are not allowed to bring pretend guns or knives to school as well. All students will be dismissed early at 12:00pm.
If your child is in need of a costume, one will be provided at no cost. Please submit the form attached to your child’s teacher and we will be sure to get your child a costume of his/her choice.

Adams Family Campout
Calling all families at Adams Elementary School. Allison Bell and I will be hosting our first-ever Adams Family Camping trip. We have reserved the group site at El Capitan from Nov 4-6, 2016. The site fee is $43 per family and will fit approximately 15-20 families (15 vehicles/60 people).
If you are interested in participating please respond in comments with the number of people you expect to attend and then secure your space with your $43 paid to me (Claire Fackler -- mom of Lena Fackler). We will do some meal organization once we have our group confirmed!
If you do not come for the overnight, please join us for a beach day either Saturday or Sunday ($10 day pass).
