A Room Parent is a liaison between the teacher and the parents in the class, as well as a liaison between the PTA and the parents, and the principal and the parents. Room parents play a critical role in supporting the teacher with parent communications, parties, and recruiting volunteers.
One of the most valuable ways to support your child(ren)’s learning is to volunteer in the classroom. Each teacher has his/her own way of using parent volunteers, from coordinating reading or math groups, to copying homework packets, to leading art projects. Parents assistance is always an added value to the class.
Adams would not be the school that it is today without the hardwork and dedicated support of our parent volunteers. The Adams PTA supports programs and provides funding which allows for a more rewarding educational experience. We offer a variety of community building events such as Science Night, Family Movie Night, the Maker Faire and the Dia de los Muertos Festival. We invite parents and other community members to volunteer and experience what makes Adams so special. Please visit Parentsquare to learn more about the volunteer opportunities that are currently available.
